Shopify Odoo metafield sync with configurable field mappings

Configurable metafield mappings during setup

During setup, you define which Shopify metafield namespace/key pairs map to which Odoo product field (or custom field). SyncO stores those mappings and applies them each time a product syncs — so metafield values flow to the right Odoo field without manual intervention after the initial configuration.

Field validation before write

A metafield value that can't be written to the target Odoo field — wrong type, out-of-range value, or a missing target field — should surface as a queue error, not a silent failure that leaves the Odoo record with stale data. SyncO validates field values against the target field type before committing.

Standard Shopify product and variant metafields are supported in the core connector. Image and file metafield sync is available as an add-on for stores that need binary asset mapping across systems.

Questions merchants ask before connecting Shopify and Odoo

How are Shopify metafields mapped to Odoo product fields?

During setup, you configure mappings from Shopify metafield namespace/key pairs to Odoo product or variant field names. SyncO applies those mappings each time a product syncs and validates field types before writing.

Can Odoo product fields sync back to Shopify metafields?

Yes. The mapping is configurable in both directions — Shopify metafield to Odoo field, and Odoo field to Shopify metafield. Direction is set per mapping during setup.

Is image and file metafield sync supported?

Image and file metafield sync is available as an add-on. Standard string, integer, float, boolean, and date metafields are included in the core connector.
